True tales, tall tales,
Stories old and new.
Woeful epics, heroic sagas,
Humerus exploits too.
Told by songs and sonnets,
Bards and books.
By fires in the woods,
And cozy bedside nooks.
Telling of tears and laughter,
Joy and sorrow.
Bringing morals, Binding families.
Hearkening to the past, Heralding the 'marrow.
Tell me the old stories I love to hear,
The tales of the past that I hold dear.
Excite me with sagas,
The epics of late.
Tales of true love, the struggle against cruel hate.
Listen with an unbounded imagination,
A mind free without fetter.
Come, come gather,
Let's all read together!
Linnea - Love it! Will you share this with the class? Nice work!
